Amneris Solano

Amneris Solano guides and implements strategic communication for the Kenan Fellows Program’s diverse network of Fellows, mentors, alumni, educators, and supporters. These strategies include but are not limited to message strategies and branding, internal communications, digital marketing, and social media management to promote the program and drive growth. She also serves as the Managing Editor for the Kenan Fellows Program’s Journal of Interdisciplinary Teacher Leadership, an online peer-reviewed scholarly publication that focuses on topical issues in K-12 education.

Previously, she served as the Communications and Government Affairs Specialist for the NC Sustainable Energy Association. Her career began as a daily newspaper reporter covering education, the military, local government, and breaking news in Eastern NC. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Communication from NC State.
