Attorney, Brooks Pierce
Mr. Ed Turlington is an attorney in the Raleigh office of Brooks Pierce, a business law firm of about 100 attorneys. He represents clients in a variety of matters including education, health care, information technology, taxation, and transportation. He graduated cum laude from Duke University and from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law, where he served as President of the Student Government.
Mr. Turlington has a distinguished record of public service. He has served as Chief of Staff to both Governor Jim Hunt and Lt. Governor Bob Jordan, as Special Assistant/Counsel to United States Senator Terry Sanford and as a national advisor to three presidential candidates. He served as a senior aide to former Senator Bill Bradley while Bradley taught at Stanford University and spent a year learning firsthand about the Silicon Valley culture and the interaction between universities and business.
In his roles as an attorney and public policy leader, Mr. Turlington has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, CSPAN, NPR and the BBC. He has also been quoted in the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. He is a former member of the Democratic National Committee.
