The second annual workshop on Creating Solutions for the Global Blue Economy will be March 3-4, 2023 at Carteret Community College in Morehead City.
The two-day workshop will bring together graduate and undergraduate students, stakeholders, industry experts, and academics to Carteret Community College and the Center for Marine Science and Technology (CMAST) in Morehead City to begin working on solutions to risks posed by sea-level rise and concern about the long-term sustainability of our oceans and our coastal communities that power the blue economy.
As part of the event, teams will compete for innovative solutions that address the problems identified in the workshop. A key outcome is for teams to continue developing their ideas. To that end both a pre- and a post-workshop meeting at NC State’s Entrepreneurship Garage on Centennial Campus will facilitate team-building and foster collaborations.
