Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science Names Lindsay Skinner Associate Director of Philanthropy

The Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science (KIETS) at N.C. State University is excited to welcome Lindsay Skinner as the new Associate Director of Philanthropy. With a decade of fundraising experience and a proven track record of surpassing goals, Skinner joins KIETS at an exciting time for the institute, bringing valuable expertise to advance collaboration and partnerships for its initiatives, including the Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership and the Climate Leaders Program.

“Lindsay Skinner has a wonderful background and brings tremendous experience through her prior work. She has a passion for education and NC State and we are very pleased to have her on our team,” stated KIETS Associate Director, Raj Narayan. 

In her most recent role, Skinner served as the Associate Director and Interim Director of Annual Giving at UNC Wilmington for the past two years. During her tenure, she led the design and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy and managed the day-to-day operations of the centralized annual giving program.

Before her time at UNC Wilmington, Skinner dedicated seven years to NC State, initially as the Assistant Coordinator of Student and Young Alumni Programs in the Alumni Association, followed by a term as the Assistant Director of Alumni & Friends for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Skinner emerged as the top candidate through a meticulous search process, guided by a search committee led by KIETS Assistant Director of Finance and Grants, Cordella Rashid, Kenan Fellows Program Director Vance Kite, Climate Leaders Program Director Amanda Mueller,

Director of Development for Central Major Gifts Monica Morgan, and Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations Krista Barezinsky.

Special recognition goes to Recruitment and Onboarding Manager Carmen Russell, Executive Director of Talent Management Reid Ricciardi, and Talent Management Program Assistant Sara Chriscoe for their assistance in facilitating the search.
